1. Meta Tags (Copywriting)

  • Meta description: 150-160 characters, includes 1-2 keywords
  • Blog post title: 50-60 characters, includes primary keyword
  • URL slug: Lowercase, hyphens, keyword-focused (e.g., /blog/how-to-pass-ats-screening)

2. Content Structure (On-Page SEO)

  • 1 H1 tag: Matches or closely matches blog title
  • 3-5 H2s: Each targets a sub-keyword
  • 500-1500 words: Aim for 800-1200 optimal length
  • 1-2 internal links: Link to homepage, other blogs, or landing pages
  • Image alt text: Descriptive, includes keyword if natural

3. Keyword Optimization

  • Primary keyword: Used in title, H1, first 100 words
  • Secondary keywords: 2-3 included naturally in H2s/body
  • Keyword density: 0.5-2% (natural, not forced)
  • LSI keywords: Related terms used naturally

4. User Experience

  • Readability: Short paragraphs (2-3 sentences max)
  • Scannability: Bold key points, bullet lists where appropriate
  • CTA placement: Call to action at end (Get Risk Audit, Schedule Call)
  • Featured image: High quality, 1200x630px minimum

5. Publishing

  • Publish date: Set correctly (for freshness signal)
  • Author name: Include author byline
  • Category: Assign to one of: Risk Analysis, Positioning, Market Strategy, Psychology
  • Add to related posts on other articles

6. Post-Publishing

  • Submit to Google Search Console
  • Test in Rich Results Test (google.com/test/rich-results)
  • Share on LinkedIn with custom caption
  • Add to internal linking calendar
